Interesting blogs

When you blog you realize how boring your life might seem to others.  Sometimes during the day I think, what can I blog about today?  Most of my days are uneventful and uninteresting.  Today a friend of mine sent me a link to another blog that I loved, http://suzannemcminn.com/  It made me think that I should re-think this whole blog-writing thing.  This woman's blog is so creative.  Of course she writes for a living so I shouldn't even compare my blog to hers, right?  Even her animals are funnier than mine.

Here's what I did today.
1.  Milked and fed goats.
2.  Checked all the pregnant goat's butts to see if they might go into labor today.
3.  Had 2 friends over for lunch, sat around and talked (which was interesting to me but maybe not to you).
4.  Went outside to check all the pregnant goat's butts to see if they were any closer to having babies.
5.  Went for a walk with James, stopped to talk to neighbors.
6.  Went back to the barn to check on the goats for signs of labor again.
7.  Filled everyone's water buckets.
8.  Fixed dinner
9.  Blogged

See?  Not funny or entertaining.  Just wait till tomorrow.  Tomorrow's blog will be great.
Nothing like setting myself up for failure.
Anyway, enjoy that other blog.

  1. Karen, Your blogs are always interesting to me. I love every single one. Your life is so different from mine. I hope the deliveries go well. And thanks for helping with "the competition."

  2. Karen, I just looked at the above blog that you mentioned. I like simplicity and found her blog to be a bit overwhelming. She has some good information about cheese and soap but I thought a little wordy. I find holesinmyjeans to be enjoyable, readable and always fun. Keep up the good work.

  3. I love Chickens in the Road. Your day sounds like my day though...with out the goat but checking. I have two does who will be first fresheners (one in May and one in March). In a way I am a first freshener as well in that I have only had these girls 3 weeks. I didn't know you had to check their butts. I don't know what I am looking for but I will do that from now on. You have a real blog...so does Providence Farm. Thanks for posting.
    Blessings,

  4. Thanks Gail and Elaine.
Elaine, I have become an expert goat-butt-checker. You too will become one after your first couple kiddings. My first ones were last year. It's just as exciting this year. Good luck.
