An experiment with apple cider vinegars
Are you tired of me talking about apple cider vinegar yet? Tough, it's my blog. As I mentioned in some earlier posts, first I lost 10 lbs and gave the credit to organic apple cider vinegar with the mother in it. Then more recently I told you I gained weight so I didn't think this potion was working. Today I looked at the 2 different brands of ACV we had in our cabinet and realized the cheaper one, Spectrum Naturals, we switched over to looked clearer than the more expensive one, Bragg. I weighed myself this morning, GASP! I'm switching back to Bragg, the one we used in the very beginning to see if I lose the weight again and I'll tell you if it makes a difference. I'll weigh myself again in 1 month and report back here because I know you'll all be holding your breath awaiting the results.

My sheep like their ACV now. I give them the good kind-do you think it will make them lose weight? Annie and Sarah like Kosher Dill pickles too.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you worry about weight. You are so strong and it's all muscle! I wish I had your strength. In more ways than muscle. :)
ReplyDeleteKaren - I just realized that if you add music to your blog - you can use the same tune as "Pants on the Ground" ......"Holes in My Jeans...Holes in My Jeans...what ya gonna do with your holes in my jeans.... (just a late workday thought!). Nanci (aka Virgo)
ReplyDeleteNanci,
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea. Holes in my jeans, holes in my jeans, I'm lookin' like a fool with my holes in my jeans.
My maternal grandfather had the reputation of making the best cider vinegar - he lived in East Sullivan, which consisted of his house and the Congregationalist Church across the street. Come to think of it, I'm not sure how big a sample he would of had for the survey.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed the connection between vinegar and losing weight - I saw something on James's blog, but that was about another benefit. Whaddya do, dip cookies in vinegar instead of milk? That would work for me, I think.
I have some what-was-supposed-to-be apple cider vinegar brewing in our basement now. It smells like dirty socks. At first it smelled like wine so I thought it was headed in the right direction. I don't know where I went wrong. I wonder if hard cider would have the same benefits as apple cider vinegar :)
